UDA PARTY IS A MOVEMENT BUILT FROM THE GRASSROOTS, FOR ALL KENYANS

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) continues to strengthen its grassroots structures to consolidate the Party as a truly national and inclusive political movement, anchored on unity, growth, and shared prosperity for all Kenyans.

Women’s inclusion remains a deliberate priority. UDA is firmly committed to providing women leaders with equal opportunity through free, fair, inclusive, and democratic nominations, recognising that inclusive leadership is essential to strong and credible governance.

The Party is setting a new benchmark in Kenyan politics by advancing agenda-based leadership that serves all citizens, free from tribalism, division, hate, and personality-driven politics.

Implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda has surpassed expectations, with over 80 per cent of manifesto commitments delivered, contributing to economic stability and tangible gains for households.

As part of easing the cost of living, the government plans to exempt more than 1.5 million workers earning KSh 30,000 and below from income tax, while reducing the tax rate from 30 per cent to 25 per cent for approximately 500,000 workers earning up to KSh 50,000. These measures reflect Bottom-Up policies focused on dignity, opportunity, and relief for ordinary Kenyans.

UDA Party Leader convened 12,353 aspirants for the 2027 General Election at State House, comprising aspirants for governor, Senate, women representative, Member of Parliament, and Member of County Assembly positions, drawn from all regions of the country.

President William Samoei Ruto, as Party Leader, assured all aspirants of free, fair, credible, and democratic party nominations, underscoring that transparent internal processes are the foundation of UDA’s strength and cohesion.

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki addressed the opposition in firm terms, stating that the government remains focused on delivery and correcting past failures rather than engaging in distractions.

Addressing the President on behalf of Party members, UDA National Chairperson Cecily Mbarire confirmed that Party leaders and aspirants are fully mobilised, energised, and committed to working tirelessly toward a second term, noting that UDA remains united, disciplined, and focused on delivering for Kenyans.

UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan reaffirmed the Party’s resilience and long-term vision, noting that UDA draws its strength from its supporters and their belief in its values, leadership, and transformative agenda. He emphasised that the Party is not a temporary political vehicle but a sustained national movement with a clear future.

Present were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Second Deputy Party Leader Governor Issa Timamy, Senate Majority Leader Senator Aaron Cheruiyot,UDA National Treasurer Hon.Japheth Nyakundi among other leaders.
