UDA Party Secretary General Sen.Cleophas Malalah represented the party in the 45th anniversary celebrations of the People Rally for Progress Party – Djibouti’s ruling political outfit.
The event which was also graced by Secretary Generals of parties from Rwanda and Ethiopia, was in marking PRP’s milestones for the 45 years of its existence.
In his address, Malalah said that PRP shares monumental strides with the UDA Party, especially in the area of gender mainstreaming .
The SG said the election of four women Governors through the UDA Party, it’s record highest numbers in the legislative assemblies and appointment of many others in the Executive, was a testament that UDA values women participation in leadership positions.
He also said that UDA remains the only ruling party that has a woman as its Chairperson in Africa.
Malalah assured the PRP leadership of Kenya’s commitment in working together with Djibouti through the leadership of President William Ruto for the benefit of the two countries.
Leadership of Communist Party of China (CPC) was also part if the celebrations.
Malalah was accompanied by the UDA Director of Communication Rob Jillo.
