The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Steering Committee (NSC) convened to deliberate on the preparedness for Party elections ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The Committee received a report from the National Elections Board (NEB) on the party elections timelines, together with the mechanisms for the resolution of disputes that may arise.
The Committee further received a report from the Party’s Disciplinary Committee (DC) on the status of complaints and other related matters covering the period 2023 to June 2026.
The meeting was chaired by the Second Deputy Party Leader and Governor of Lamu County, H.E. Issa Timamy.
Present at the meeting were the UDA National Chairperson, H.E. Cecily Mbarire, Secretary General, Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, Vice Chairperson, Kelvin Lunani, National Treasurer, Hon. Japhet Nyakundi, NEB Chairperson, Deputy Secretary General, Hon. Omboko Milemba, Anthony Mwaura, Executive Director, Nicodemus Bore, and Party Directors, among other officials.
