UDA Secretary General meets Rift Valley Members of Parliament

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan today held a consultative meeting with Members of Parliament from the Rift Valley region aimed at strengthening the Party’s grassroots coordination and preparedness towards the next general election.

The MPs led by the National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei, alongside the Party, will design grassroots programmes covering the Rift Valley region.

On his part, the Secretary General assured the MPs of the Party’s support and reinforced the position of the Party’s neutrality. Sen. Hassan said that the Party has no preferred candidates in the forthcoming general elections and reiterated the Party Leader President William Ruto’s commitment to a free and fair process of Party nominations. The Secretary General told the MPs that the Party is fully committed to the principles of fairness and impartiality as the foundation of the Party’s internal democracy and elections.

The MPs are equally committed to reinforcing activities of UDA leaders and members countrywide to continue drumming up and consolidating support for President Ruto’s re-election.
