Her Excellency Guo Haiyan, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, today paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Cecily Mbarire, the Chairperson of the UDA Party, who was also joined by Secretary-General Senator Hassan Omar Hassan at the UDA Headquarters, Hustler Plaza.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between China and Kenya, as well as fostering relations between the countries two ruling parties; Communist Party of China (CPC) and UDA Party.
The Ambassador commended Kenya’s Affordable Housing Project and the Taifa care programs being rolled out by the Government, describing them as revolutionary initiatives that enhance the social welfare of the Kenyan population.
The meeting served as a follow-up to the Secretary General’s recent visit to China, reinforcing commitments made and exploring avenues for practical implementation.
Both parties affirmed their commitment to continued collaboration within the framework of mutual respect and strategic partnership.
UDA’s Chairperson extended a formal invitation to the Ambassador to visit her Embu County.
Other officials present included UDA Executive Director Nicodemus Bore, Director of Programs Daniel Kiptoo, Director of Communication Rob Jillo, Director of Events Grace Murugi, Special Advisor to the Secretary General Sabastian Mwangangi, Counsellor Sun Yinan, and First Secretary Li Dezheng.
