A sombre mood engulfed the UDA party headquarters on Monday as staff eulogized theit late colleague Ms. Miriam Opondo.
Led by UDA nominated Senator Sen. Gloria Orwoba and the party Director of programmes Daniel Kiptoo, employees held a special mass for Ms Opondo who passed on three weeks ago, ahead of her funeral this Saturday at her Muhoroni rural home.
“Miriam fought for the formation of this government through swaying persons with disability to support President William Ruto. She appeared at so many women’s conferences with one mission: victory for William Ruto,” said colleague Desmond Shinaka.
A number of staff could not hold back tears as they eulogized the deceased.
Until her untimely demise Ms Opondo was the Officer in charge of Persons with Disabilities at the ruling party headquarters, a role she took so passionately from the end of 2022 until her demise.
