Taita-Taveta, Lamu counties mark end of Nairobi-based UDA polls sensitization

UDA National Elections Board concluded their weeklong grassroots poll sensitization, training aspirants from Taita-Taveta and Lamu counties at the party headquarters on Saturday.

Having done phase one of the training of county candidates ahead of the April 11-12 elections in mashinani to train ward and sub-county aspirants.

Former governor John Mruttu and former Lamu East MP Athuman Shariff led the Taita-Taveta and Lamu teams respectively to the training overseen by NEB vice chair Veronica Chebet.

Mwaura targets to train all election participants before the start of the holy fast of Ramadhan, take a break, then conduct the elections immediately after the month-long fast.

Going to polls on April 11 are Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, Kajiado, Turkana, Kisii, Nyamira, Bungoma, Migori, Siaya, Kisumu counties while Garisa, Wajir, Mandera, Marsabit, Isiolo, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Tana River counties have a date on April 12.
