Malalah’s removal comes in the wake of accusations of insubordination, violation of the party’s constitution and abuse of office.
On Wednesday, Malalah organized goons to invade the office occasioning bodily harm to a section of staff and party members, a move that attracted condemnation from the NEC leadership headed by Party Chairperson Governor Cecily Mbarire.
Malalah left office together with a section of staff members, who he had irregularly hired, causing an uproar among die-hard party staff who had volunteered and worked at the party secretariat since its inception.
There was a celebratory mood at the party headquarters after Malalah’s ouster with staff members exuding confidence that the party will regain its lost glory in the hands on Sen.Omar.
