United Democratic Alliance candidate for Baringo senate seat Kiprono Chemitei has intensified his campaigns calling residents to embrace good ‘neighborhood’ spirit ahead of the November 27 by-election.
Chemitei who made several stop overs in the county made the ‘Ubuntu’ call when he led residents of Sitoi Village, in Eldama Ravine Constituency to assist Evans Cheboi restart his business after a fire raser his car which was the only source of livelihood for him.
He said development, in any society, comes when people embrace unity and solidarity, a sense of purpose and empathy as they assist one another for the common good.
“Once we embrace the spirit of ‘I am because we are’ then that will be the beginning of our success as a community. We need to reach out to each other and assist where possible,” said Chemitei.
