United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Mbeere North’s candidate Leo Wamuthende has intensified his campaigns pledging to include women in leadership ahead of the November 27 by-election.
Information, Communication and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo, Nominated MCA Hon Susan Mwende, Embu County Assembly Speaker Hon Josiah Thiriku, Youth Employment CO Luceta Gacheri who pitched tent in Evurore Ward drummed up support for Wamuthende.
The leaders who made stopovers in Kamumu and Kabuguakanyama in Evurore Ward hailed women’s role in shaping the society saying they will be included in matters distribution of bursary, infrastructure improvement to improve residents’ livelihoods.
Wamutende who said women cannot be ignored in leadership said they will play a key role in his leadership because they directly nurture families, drive local economies and spur development for a better society.
