UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar led top party and government officials in urging youth to go for various positions in the ruling and elective posts saying the Kenya Kwanza government is all inclusive.
“The government has given youth a fair share in its programs and administration. The cabinet secretary for water and sanitation Eng Eric Mugaa is a youth. We will ask President William Ruto to swap Hon Kipchumba Murkomen with him at the ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs,” said Executive Director Nicodemus Bore.
“This party is led by former student leaders like Embu governor Cecil Mbarire and I. We wish to see you (comrades) contest for various positions in the upcoming party grassroots elections,” said the SG.
Rooting for overseas and online job opportunities, Public Communication Officer in the Office of the Government Spokesman Joshua Sang said the Jitume Hubs in all constituencies provide a great avenue for employment.
Presidential Council Ecomic Advisor Professor Nyasaka Machuki defended the new university funding model as an equalizer in provision of funds to students unlike the old system.
Speakers used the platform to address key issues of concern including the Social Health Assurance, new funding model, the affordable housing project among others.
